Payouts and wallet

How do I choose how I'm paid?

You can be paid by direct deposit to your bank account or by INTERAC e-Transfer to your email. Set one or both up under Getting paid on your Account page, and pick the one you want when both are ready.

Updated Nov 4, 2026

There are two ways to be paid: direct deposit to your bank account, or an INTERAC e-Transfer to your email. You set this up once, in the Getting paid section of your Account page.

The two ways to be paid

  • Direct deposit: paid straight into your bank account. Nothing to accept, no security question and nothing to expire. It is marked Recommended on the page.
  • INTERAC e-Transfer: sent to your email. Unless your bank deposits it automatically, you accept it and answer a security question.

Set it up

  1. Open your Account page and find Getting paid

You need to be signed in. The section is called Getting paid.

  2. Confirm your mobile number

The Mobile number row is marked Required until it is verified. We confirm it's you before sending any payout, and it takes under a minute, once.

  3. For direct deposit, choose Add bank account

Add your legal first and last name first if you haven't (deposits are sent in that name, and your bank checks it against the account). Then enter the Transit number (5 digits), Institution number (3 digits) and Account number (5 to 12 digits), and re-enter the account number. You'll find them in your banking app or along the bottom of a cheque.

Choose Continue, compare every digit on the Check your details screen, tick the box that says you've checked the numbers and the account is in your name, then choose Save bank account.

  4. Or add an INTERAC e-Transfer email

Type the email you want e-Transfers sent to in the INTERAC e-Transfer email field and save it.

  5. If you set up both, pick one

A radio button appears on each row once both are ready. Select the one you want; it is marked Paid here, and a message confirms where your payouts go.

After you save a bank account, you may see "Setting up your bank account…" for a moment. You can leave the page; we'll finish on our own. To change or remove it later, use Change bank account or Remove on the same row.

Set up how you're paid

Open your Account page and find Getting paid.
