Our take
National Bank Platinum Business Mastercard
A flat 1.5 points per dollar on everything, no caps, no category juggling. For businesses with varied spending that don’t want to think about optimizing categories, this card keeps it simple. The $125 annual fee is reasonable and the points never expire as long as your account is open. The trade-off is that you’re locked into National Bank’s À la carte Rewards for the best value — and the insurance and travel perks are minimal compared to what you’d get from premium cards at a similar price point. Best for businesses that value predictability over maximum return.
- Earn 1.5 points per $1 spent with no purchase limit
- Available regardless of company size or industry
- Ability to combine points with a personal National Bank rewards card
- $125 annual fee ($50 per additional card)
- Points program is most valuable within National Bank’s rewards ecosystem
- Limited insurance coverage compared to premium competitors
TD Business Travel Visa* Card
The highest earn rates in the TD business lineup — up to 9x on Expedia for TD bookings, 6x on dining, and 4x on recurring bills and foreign currency purchases. The welcome bonus of up to 200,000 TD Rewards Points plus a first-year fee rebate makes it especially compelling in year one. The key question is how you redeem: points are worth the most through Expedia for TD travel bookings, but significantly less for other redemptions. If your business books travel regularly and you’re comfortable using the TD portal, this card delivers strong value. Otherwise, the $149 annual fee and modest base earn rate make it harder to justify.
- Generous welcome bonus
- High earn rates
- Strong travel insurance package
- Points don’t expire as long as the account is in good standing
- Best redemption value limited to Expedia for TD bookings
- $149 annual fee
- Additional cards cost $49

"Eligible Recurring Bill Payments” consist of a maximum of two new bill payments that are classified as recurring by the merchant through the Visa network and set up on the Individual Borrower Business Cardholder's Account that are registered and charged to the Account within 6 months of Account approval. Eligible Recurring Bill Payments already set up on the Account prior to January 13, 2026, are not eligible for the PAP Bonus Offer. 25 Earn 6 TD Rewards Points ("Electric Vehicle Charging Bonus Rate") on each $1 in Purchases in "Electric Vehicle Charging Purchases" charged to your TD Business Travel Visa Card Account ("Account"). Any returned items, refunds, rebates or other similar credits will reduce or cancel the TD Rewards Points earned on the original Electric Vehicle Charging Purchase, as applicable. Fees, Cash Advances (including Balance Transfers, Cash-Like Transactions and TD Visa Cheques), interest charges, optional service, refunds, rebates or other similar credits do not earn TD Rewards Points. $80,000 Cap: The Electric Vehicle Charging Bonus Rate is only available up to a $80,000 maximum net annual spend ("$80,000 Cap"). Applicability of Electric Vehicle Charging Rate: The Electric Vehicle Charging Bonus Rate is in place of, and not in addition to, the Standard Rate. Merchant Category Codes: To earn the Electric Vehicle Charging Bonus Rate, the Electric Vehicle Charging Purchases must be made at merchants classified through the Visa network with a Merchant Category Code ("MCC") that identifies them as Electric Vehicle Charging. Some merchants may not be classified with an Electric Vehicle Charging Purchase MCC and such Purchases will not earn the Electric Vehicle Charging Bonus Rate as applicable. If you have questions about the MCC that applies to a Purchase, contact TD at 1-800-983-8472.
